Estelle Bonnie Lyons

Estelle Bonnie Lyons, 89, of Elkin, North Carolina passed away March 3, 2025. Born March 27, 1935, to the late Josephus and Alice Laster Lyons in Wilkes County, North Carolina. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter and son-in-law, Darlene Collins and James; sons and daughter-in-law, Darell Nixon and Billie, and Doug Nixon; grandchildren, Kristy Patrick and Scott, Kelly Hall and Sam, Cody Haubrich and Cass, Becky Severt and Brad, Nathan Nixon, Shasta Smoker and Chris, Tabby James and Joey, Joseph Kennedy and Nicole, Kimberly Cope and Justin, and Chad Howard; great grandchildren, Mikalah, Andrew, Greyson, Karlie, Cayden, Jaxon, Autumn, Rachel, William, Chris, Jamie, Sierra, Ronnie, Gabriel, and Jasmine. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by sons, Greg Nixon, Dwayne Nixon, and Gary Nixon; sisters, Lillie Smith, Treva Barber, Virgie Swaim, Mary Luffman, Wessie Curry, and Fannie Cockerham. A Celebration of Mrs. Lyons life will be help 2:00 PM Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Charity Hill United Methodist Church, 6440 Austin Traphill Road, Elkin NC 28621.The family would like to extend special thanks to Yadkin Valley Senior Living, Medi Home Health, and Hospice.
