Estelle Mae Millner
Estelle Mae Millner, 87, of Gladys, passed away peacefully at her residence on January 30, 2025. Born in Lynchburg on July 14, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Richard Phelps and Mary Powell Phelps.
Estelle dedicated much of her life to being a loving homemaker but also spent a few years working at Moore’s Country Store. She was a devoted fan of General Hospital, often keeping up with the latest episodes and enjoying the twists and turns of her favorite daytime drama. Estelle’s greatest joy, however, came from spending time with her grandchildren, whom she adored and often spoiled with love. A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and devotion to her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank O. Millner, and her son, Paul Burnett, Jr.
Estelle is survived by three daughters: Laurie Lawrance (Duck), Rebecca Morris, and Cynthia Burnett; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild, all of whom will deeply miss her presence in their lives.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 pm Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Fort Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Stephen Willis officiating.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to help with their needs during this difficult time.
