Etta Louise Norton Pruitt

Etta Louise Norton Pruitt passed away Saturday, October 7, 2023 at her residence. Mrs. Pruitt was born January 29, 1937 in Danville, VA to the late Everett Norton and the late Cora Kingery Norton. She was married to Romie Verlon Pruitt.

She was retired from Owens-Brockway as an inspector. She will always be remembered as a kindhearted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

In addition to her husband, she is also survived by her three daughters, Juanita P. Calloway, Joyce P. Tate (Jesse), and Michele P. Alderson (Brian); five grandchildren, Tamara Barnes (Scott), Nicholas Bailey (Katie), Travis Calloway (Heather), Caitlin Bailey, and Abigail Alderson; and three great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by beloved son, Robert Pruitt; and two sisters, Barbara Whitley and Betty Stevenson.

A private graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Burial Park.

The family will receive friends and family at the residence of her daughter, Joyce P. Tate.
