Eunice Joyce Baker

Eunice “Nannie” Delilah Baker, 92, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Saturday January 21, 2023. She was born September 21, 1930, in Martinsville, to the late Oscar Joyce and Dorothy Wimbish Joyce. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Lee Baker Sr.; daughter, Amy Bowman Dodson; sisters, Margaret Keffer, Delois Stone and Shirley Triplett; and brothers Murvin Joyce and Otis Joyce. Eunice was a proud member of the Collinsville Pentecostal Holiness Church. She enjoyed gardening, making flower arrangements, collecting antiques, traveling, and spending quality time with her family. She is survived by her step-daughter, Cheryl Belcher; step-son, Curtis Lee Baker Jr.; granddaughter, Brittany Dodson; great-grandson, Camryn Z. Stokes; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Special thanks to her great-nieces Amy Richardson Martin and Lakisha McCray; and special friends and caregivers, Erica Westmoreland and Diane Hagen. The memorial service will be Thursday, January 26, 2023, at 5:00 PM, at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
