Everlena Doss Bowling

Everlena Doss Bowling, 85, passed away on January 10, 2024. She was born on November 17, 1938 in Pittsylvania County, VA to the late Lona Green Walker Doss and the late William Edward Doss. She was predeceased by her loving husband of sixty two years, Earl Edwin Bowling.

Everlena was a faithful member of County Line Christian Church. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and beloved by all her knew her. She loved God and loved her Savior.

Everlena is survived by a son; Edwin Scott Bowling of Danville, VA; two granddaughters; Jessica Dawn Jones and Megan Nikole Bowling; a brother; James Milton Doss (Shirley); mother to her granddaughters; Sue Reynolds Bowling; a special nephew; Ricky M. Bowling, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother; William Garfield Doss Sr. She will be deeply missed.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at 2:00pm at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, Danville, VA with pastor Dean Ashby officiating. Interment will follow at Danville Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 1-2:00pm also at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel. At other times the family will be at the residence.
