Felecia Annette Watkins

October 3, 1971 - September 17, 2025

Felecia Annette Watkins, 53, of Martinsville, Virginia, entered her heavenly rest Thursday, September 17, 2025. She was born October 3, 1971, in Martinsville to Clifford Timothy Watkins and Mildred Costella Craighead Millner.

Felecia was of the Christian faith and found her calling in helping others who were in need. After graduating from Martinsville High School, class of 1989, she continued her higher education at Averett University where she earned a bacholor’s degree in business administration. Her passion for caring for people was the driving force behind her work in the Martinsville community as she directed the domestic violence shelter in Martinsville and Henry County. With a large heart and a bold spirit, she went on to become the housing director in Rocky Mount, Virginia, and also ran the homeless shelter in Martinsville, Virginia.

Felecia was known to have a larger-than-life personality; with a feisty attitude and a bold honesty, she poured so much love into her parents and family. So many people could count on her consistency in keeping in touch with them. Although her earthly presence is no longer with us, her legacy of love and kindness has left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Along with her parents, Felecia is survived by her daughters, Brea Chante Watkins and Alisha Kayanna Watkins; brother, Clifford A. Watkins; grandchild, Princeton Watkins; and lifelong friends, Wytina “Tina” Watkins and Joy Moore.

All services will be private. The family wishes to extend their gratitude for the outpouring of love and kindness during this time of grief.
