Fern Edwards Joyce

Fern Edwards Joyce, 66, of Collinsville, Va., passed away Thursday, February 23, 2023. She was born in Henry County, Va. on December 4, 1956 to the late Reuben F. Edwards and the late Thelma Daniel Edwards. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, the Rev. F. Gary Edwards and David J. Edwards; her sister, Trevis E. Lusk; brother-in-law, Mitch Massey, and nephew, Scott Luther.

Fern is survived by her two children, E. Lee Rakes (Katie) and Belinda Rumley; three grandchildren, Tamara N. Cook, Avery K. Rakes, and Robbie D. Wilson; three sisters, Linda E. Ratliff (Joe), Naomi E. Massey, and twin sister, Faye E. Luther (Dennis); brother-in-law, Jim Lusk; sisters-in-law, Lois Edwards and Betty Edwards Brazzell. She is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews, J. Lusk, David Edwards Jr., Denise Edwards, Brian Edwards, Kerri E. Carter, Jeff Ratliff, Chad Ratliff, Tricia M. Waggoner, Kelly L. Koebel, and Stacy L. Craven.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Collinsville Covenant Brethren Church, 553 John Redd Blvd, Collinsville, VA 24078. A memorial service will follow at 12 p.m., officiated by Pastor Roy McVey.
