Florence Reynolds Finney

Florence Reynolds Finney, 96, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2024 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Florence was born on September 5, 1927 in Pittsylvania County, VA to the late Lizzie Rebecca Reynolds and the late Lloyd Brown Reynolds. She was also predeceased by her loving husband of many years, Mr. Otis A. Finney.

Florence was of the Christian faith, and a member of County Line Christian Church.

Florence is survived by her daughter in law; Delores Finney of Callands, VA; two grandchildren; Mitzi Gilley and husband Jonathan and Stephanie Reynolds and husband Billy; four great grandchildren; Kelsey Gilley, Caleb Kirby, Savannah Reynolds, and Ryland Reynolds; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, and husband, Florence was predeceased by a son; Chester Otis Finney; two brothers; Lloyd “Cracker” Brown Reynolds Jr. and her twin brother Lawrence “Pete” Reynolds; and two sisters; Madeline Reynolds and Roslyn Finney.

The family would like to extend a special thank you for the loving and caring staff at Commonwealth Hospice as well as Delores’s sister, Mrs. Dianne Hutcherson for everything.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 11, 2024 at 3:00pm at County Line Christian Church, 12711 Chatham Road, Axton, VA with Minister Dean Ashby officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. A visitation will be held prior to the service on the same day from 2-3:00pm. At other times the family will receive friends at the residence of Mrs. Delores Finney, her daughter in law.
