Frances Jewel Haskins Hutcherson

Frances Jewel Haskins Hutcherson, age 85, of Lynch Station, Virginia passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Centra Gretna Medical Center, Gretna, Virginia. She was born on April 10, 1940 in Campbell County, Virginia to the late Russell Haskins and the late Elsie Grubbs Haskins. She was married to the late Eldridge Hutcherson.

Mrs. Hutcherson was a homemaker, wife, and mother all her adult life, a life which she enjoyed very much.

She is survived by her son, E. Scott Hutcherson of Lynch Station; sisters, Deborah Byrd (Sayford) of Figsboro, VA, Carol Haskins of Altavista, Brenda Gillenwaters of Martinsville, VA, Alice Williams of Martinsburg, WV, and brother, Bobby Haskins (Wanda) of Spencer, VA. In addition, she is survived by a very special friend of Carol’s, Randy Rudder of Gretna, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a number of siblings, including, Wayne Haskins, Shirley Hodges, Larry Haskins, Jimmy Haskins, Lois Donaldson, Linda Haskins, and Betty Ann Haskins.

A private graveside service will be held at Green Hill Cemetery, Altavista, VA 24517 for immediate family. A public memorial service will be held at a later date, and the time and place will be announced on this site at that time.
