Frances Kersey McKinney

Frances Kersey McKinney, 85, of Georgia passed away in Lynchburg on Friday, December 19, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Cecil Kersey and Virginia Morgan Kersey.

Born January 4, 1940, Frances was well known for the boundless love and devotion she showed to her family, especially her granddaughters. Her grandchildren were the joy of her life, and she delighted in spoiling them at every opportunity. Deeply connected to those she loved, Frances leaves behind a legacy of warmth, generosity, and unwavering affection. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

In addition to her parents Frances was preceded in death by her husband John McKinney; and her late fiancé Roy Engram.

Those left to cherish Frances memory include her daughter Johanna Scott and her husband Keith; her granddaughters Caitlyn Scott, Abby Scott, Olivia Scott; her siblings Ernest Kersey and his wife Gloria, Ellen Thompson and her husband Ed; and many nieces and nephews.

Services for Frances will be held at Lunsford Funeral Home in Cuthbert, Georgia on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 11am with interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
