Frank Robert Blondino
Frank Robert “Rob” Blondino, 49, of Evington, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, September 11, 2024. He was born on October 4, 1974, in Lynchburg, the son of Eddie and Dolores Blondino of Madison Heights.In addition to his parents, Rob is survived by his devoted wife, Jan Blondino; his mother-in-law, Pat King; sisters-in-law, Betty Sargent (David) and Carol Clark (Ken); his brother-in-law, Robert King (Krista); and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his sister, Ann Vyslouzil; his father-in-law, James King; and his maternal and paternal grandparents, Marion and Frances Harding, and Ross and Carol Blondino.Affectionately known as "Pooey" to his family, Rob was a passionate sports fan, particularly devoted to the Dallas Cowboys, New York Mets, and UVA sports. He also found joy in hunting and fishing, sharing these hobbies with loved ones.A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Salem Methodist Church, 2891 Mason's Mill Road, Evington.The family will receive friends on Friday, September 20, 2024 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. and at other times at the home of his parents and his mother-in-law.In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) or to the UVA Children’s Hospital in Rob’s memory.Services will be announced soon.
