Fred Allen Jones

Fred Allen Jones, 62, of Boones Mill, Virginia, passed away on May 4, 2025. He was born on July 11, 1962, in Roanoke, Virginia, to the late Norris (Red) and Thelma Jones. Preceded in death by brothers-in-law Sam Robinson and Chuck Johnston.

Fred was a beloved brother, and a true outdoorsman. He loved nothing more than spending time hunting, and fishing—pastimes that brought him peace and joy throughout his life.

He is survived by his sons, Daniel and Noah Jones; his daughter, Lucy Jones; and their mother Audrey Jones. He will be forever loved by his 5 sassy sisters, Nancy Robinson, Pat (Sissy) Johnston, Sandra Gobble (Pappy), Sarah Palmer (Bob), and Delena Jones (Raymond). He is also survived by 4 aunts, 7 nephews, 8 nieces, 32 great-nephews and nieces, 2 great-great nephews and too many friends to count.

His strong spirit and kind heart will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved him.
