Garnett Westmoreland "Junior"

Garnett Westmoreland, “Junior” went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 19, 2022.

He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Westmoreland. He is also survived by his children, Cathy Feazell, Sherrie Gregory, Don Richardson, Tonja Lotts, Shelly Brewer, and Kevin Westmoreland; his sister, Charlene Lester; 7 grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.

He retired from the Kroger Warehouse and enjoyed 30 years of pastoring Faith Baptist Church in Salem, VA. Junior loved Gospel Bluegrass Music and played frequently with several gospel groups.

The family would like to say thank you to the Blue Ridge Cancer Center, Kendrid/Gentiva Hospice (with a special thank you to Johnette and Chelsea), and the staff at Richfield Willow Cottage.

Visitation will be at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem, VA on Wednesday, December 21st from 2 until 4 pm and 6 until 8 pm. Services will be held Thursday, December 22nd at 11:00 am at Faith Baptist Church, 900 8th Street, Salem, VA with interment immediately following at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, officiated by Pastor Kenny Farley and Pastor Randel Harris.
