Garnie Franklin Dishon

Garnie Franklin Dishon, 89, of Radford, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2025. He was a longtime member of Central United Methodist Church in Radford and retired from RADVA Corporation. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserves.

Garnie was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Everett Dishon and Marie Elizabeth Stike Dishon; his wife, Charlotte Fay Brooks Dishon; son, David Todd Dishon; and brother, Clayton Duane Dishon.

Survivors include his sons, Richard Dishon (Teresa) and Brian Dishon (Randa); granddaughter, Elizabeth Keith (Adam); grandson, Andrew Dishon (Danielle); great grandchildren, December, Elease, Abigail, Elaina, and Aurora; and many other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 9:30am until 11am on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Central Church Radford. A celebration of Garnie’s life will begin at 11am with Rev. Don Shelor and Pastor Doug Levy officiating. Entombment will be private.
