Gary Clark

Gary Swanston Clark, 80 of Narrows, VA., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 27, 2025. Gary was born on May 11, 1945, in Pearisburg, VA., and was a son of the late Swanston Jewel Clark and Mary Emily Brickey Clark.

Gary was a 1964 graduate of Dungannon High School in Scott County, VA., and was a longtime employee of Spectrum Brands in Blacksburg, VA, where he thought the world of his co-workers.  He was an active member of the Scott County Regional Horse Association and lifelong horse enthusiast.  He was also a past rodeo bull rider.

He is survived by his daughter, Pam Stidham, granddaughter, Aneshia Stidham and great granddaughter, Arabella Gillenwater all of Dungannon, sister, Nancy Crittenden (Michael) of Louisville, KY, 2 brothers, Mike Clark (Virginia) of Blacksburg, John Clark (Betty) of Narrows, numerous nieces and nephews, including his special nieces, Emily and Mary Kay and canine companions, Lady and Annie.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 2pm at the Givens – Riffe Funeral Chapel in Narrows, VA at with John Brickey, III officiating with burial following in the Fairview Cemetery in Narrows.  The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home 1 hour before the service from 1 – 2 pm.
