Gary Darnell Botts

Gary Darnell Botts, 75, of Salem, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on June 11, 2025. Born November 14, 1949, to the late Glen Elwood Botts, Sr., and Lettie Gunter Botts, he is also preceded in death by his brothers, Glen Elwood Botts, Jr., and Walter Leon Botts.

Gary was a skilled tradesman and worked in construction for many years before his retirement. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and taking care of the family furbaby, Doja. Gary was a wonderful cook and loved to bake for his family and friends. Above all, he adored his two sons and loved spending time with them.

Family remaining to cherish his memory are his sons, Justin Botts and Taylor Botts; the mother of his children, Cathy Botts; brother, Rodney Botts and his wife, Cindy, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Per Gary’s wishes and at his family’s request, there will be a private Celebration of Life held with family and special friends at a later time.
