Gary Dean Wilmoth

Mr. Gary Dean Wilmoth, age 62, of Dobson, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born July 15, 1961, in Surry County, to the late Cleve Wilson Wilmoth and the late Mary Faye Wood Wilmoth. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 27 years, Peggy Sheets Wilmoth; his son, Brandon Inman; his brother, David Wilmoth; and his precious dog, Sissy.

Left to cherish his memories are his sons and daughter-in-law, David and Kris Inman, Bradley Inman, and Jody Inman; his grandchildren, Tyler, Cobin, Kyle, Cole Madison, Gavin, Hope, Breanna, Waylon, and Ceejay; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Bill Smith and Angela and Lanny Whitaker; his brother, James Wilmoth; and a special friend and business partner, Tony Stanley.

Gary was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, was co-owner of Rugged Metal Designs, loved hunting and spending time outdoors. He also was quite a practical joker who enjoyed time with his family and friends. Visitation will be Sunday, July 21, 2024, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson. A Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 PM in The Moody-Davis Chapel with Rev. Butch Spurlin officiating. Burial will follow in the Little Vine Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mayberry 4 Paws, 1632 Red Brush Road, Mount Airy NC 27030, or to The American Lung Association, 401 Hawthorne Lane., Suite 110 x298, Charlotte NC 28204. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Wilmoth family.
