Gary Edward Snow

Mr. Gary Edward Snow, age 80, of Dobson, NC went home to his heavenly home, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, April 12, 2026. Gary was a loving father and grandfather. He enjoyed being surrounded by his family and especially his grandchildren. Gary was a retired tobacco farmer where he dedicated many years of his life. He was born on August 22, 1945 to the late Loyd and Lavern Davis Snow. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Snow Scott, and a sister, Joan Snow Belton. Surviving are his devoted wife of 50 years, Rita Hoots Snow of the home, daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Doug Clement of Mount Airy, son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Kristi Snow of Dobson, brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Lisa Snow of Hamptonville, grandchildren, Ellie Clement, Maggie Clement, Jaycee Snow, Courtney and Blake Oakley, Kayla and Hunter Danley, and great-grandchildren, Everleigh Danley and Liam Oakley, step-grandchildren, Tyler Clement and John Clement, and special aunt, Dorothy Davis Mitchell. Funeral service will be held, Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 11:00 at Double Creek Church of Christ, with Pastor John Elmore officiating, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. His body will remain at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson until carried to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, 6:00pm - 8:00pm. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Double Creek Church of Christ Youth Group, ℅ Tommy Belton, 698 Double Creek Rd, Dobson, NC 27017.
