Geneva Lawson Spillman

Geneva Lawson Spillman, 70, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024. She was born July 9, 1953, in Martinsville, Virginia to the late Ernest Jake Lawson, Jr. and Ruby Jane Coleman Lawson.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Samuel Spillman; daughter, Christy Spillman Garbo; two infant sons, and brother, Roger Junior Lawson.Geneva was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed working the concession stands at the Martinsville Speedway. She loved to cook and sew and was excellent at both.She is survived by daughter, Jennifer Davis; sisters, Janie Lawson, Shirley Foster (Frankie), and Joyce Lawson; grandchildren, Jake Davis, Stephen Collins, and Destiny Davis; great niece, Cheyenne; and nephew, Brian Foster (Amanda).The graveside service will be Friday, June 28, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Fair Haven Memorial Park, 18960 A L Philpott Hwy, Spencer, Virginia 24165 with Pastor Payton Gilbert officiating.Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
