Geneva Powell Mason

Geneva Powell Mason, age 84 of Fork Mountain died Sunday, February 8, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bethel Mason; parents, Carl and Bessie Powell; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joe and Ila Mason; brothers and sister-in-law, Elbert and Jean Powell, Lowell Powell. Surviving are her daughter, Debra Mason-Schmidt (Mike); son, Tommy Mason (Tracy Miles); brother, Norman Powell (Linda); sister, Gloria Young (Marvin); brother, Dean Powell (Celie); special nephews, Travis and Tanner Young, Bruce Powell; several other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 12 noon Monday, February 16, 2026 with Dr. J.D. Harmon officiating. Interment will follow in the Mason Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers or food, please consider a memorial donation to St. Judes Children’s Hospital or New Vision Baptist Church AWANA Program. Her family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
