George Clarke

Mr. George Frederick Clarke, age 62, of Clifton Forge, died Monday, February 5, 2024, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke.
Mr. Clarke was born March 20, 1961 in Covington, the son of Nelda Ruth Suroski Clarke and the late Robert Noel Clarke. George worked for years as a landscape foreman but was best known for being an exceptional auto mechanic. He had a good, kind heart and took pleasure in helping others. He loved hunting, fishing and always enjoyed being outdoors. especially grilling out, camping and picnicking at Lake Moomaw as well as playing horseshoes with his family.
Mr. Clarke is survived by a large family who he loved and who loved him including his son Jeremy Clarke and wife, Rebecca Stover; his mother, Nelda Clarke; his brothers, Robert Clarke, Mark Clarke and wife, Carolyn; his sisters, Doreen Main and husband Jeff, Elizabeth Nagel, Shana Wolfe and husband, Ben; his uncle, Tommy Clarke and wife, Sharon; his aunt, Barbara Clarke Flint; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Noel Clarke.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, February 18, 2024, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Matlack officiating.
