George Edward Saunders

George Edward Saunders, Sr, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 4, 2026. He was a dedicated husband, father, granddaddy, and great granddaddy.

Born to the late Charles Garland and Stella Coles Saunders of Elliston Va, he was one of 13 children.

George is survived by his devoted wife Sandra Walker Saunders; his two sons George E. Saunders Jr. (Rosa), and Sheldon V. Saunders; grandchildren, Sameria Pierce (Deanthony), George E. Saunders, III; great-grandchildren, Roxanne and Theodore; sister Mary F. Belcher; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends; his loyal dog Rolex the schnauzer.

The family would like to express our sincere thanks to Doctor Roy Habib and all the loving and caring nurses with Good Samaritan Hospice.
