George Wayne Garman

George Wayne Garman, 74, of Collinsville, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, August 2nd, 2023. He was born on July 30th, 1949, in Salem, Va to the late Woodrow Jackson Garman, Sr. and Rosella May Thompson Garman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Patsy Garman Ashby, Betty Garman Edwards, and Rose Garman Bouldin.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Thelma Elizabeth Garman; son, Danny Garman (Nikki); daughters, Kimberly Price Stuart (William) and Jeanette Garman (Tim); grandchildren, Fred Lee Price, III, Nellie Price, Danika Garman, and Donte Garman. Also surviving are his siblings, Woodrow J. Garman, Jr. (Barbara), Jack Ray Garman (Kay), and Mary Garman Hill (Mark).

The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Monday, August 7, 2023 at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville Chapel with Pastor Dan Schelling officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. prior to service. Burial will be at Fairystone Baptist Church Cemetery.
