Georgia Lynn Moore Hipp
Lynn Moore Hipp, flew into the arms of angels at the age of 72, on Monday, August 14th, 2023. She was surrounded by her family and best friends.
Lynn is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Gary Hipp; her son; Wayne Hipp; her daughter; Tanya Hipp; her granddaughters, Kelsey Hipp, Kayley Hipp, and Kylee Hipp; her grandson, Aidan Hipp; a soon to be great grandson; and her last dog of many, Taffee Lil Bit. She is predeceased by her mother, Nora Reanza Brownlee and her father, George Moore.
Lynn was born in Danville, VA on February 10, 1951 and lived with her mother until her sudden passing. She lived her teenage years at the Methodist Children’s Home in Richmond, VA where she formed lifelong friendships. On March 10, 1969 she married Gary Hipp of West Virginia and they built a beautiful life together. They became a part of the Chatham, VA community and serviced that community through their work at Chatham Exxon and Depot Auto Repair. She was an active member of Spring Garden Community Church and held strong to her faith.
Lynn was a devoted wife, mother and friend. Her greatest enjoyments in life were gathering with and loving family and friends, reading devotions, singing, camping, talking on the phone for hours, shopping, ice cream and sitting in her rocking chair watching the hummingbirds. She loved all things Christmas, baking and cooking, especially during the Holidays. She will be missed by many, however we take solace that she is free from pain. She ran, danced, jumped, biked and maybe even did a cartwheel or two, through the gates to her Lord.
