Georgie Daniel Moore

June 18, 1924 - March 15, 2026

Georgie Daniel Moore, age 101, of Chatham went to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully on March 15, 2026 surrounded by her family at her residence. She was born on June 18, 1924 to the late George Washington Daniel and the late Susie Hutchinson Daniel. She was a devoted wife to her late husband Clyde W. Moore for 57 years. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and aunt who gave of herself endlessly, always putting the needs of others before her own and will be greatly missed.

She was predeceased by one brother, Sam Daniel; six sisters, Addie Daniel, Mary Daniel, Minnie Parker, Rosie Daniel, Gladys Daniel, and Madie Cook; two grandchildren, an infant baby girl Osborne and Angela Sims.

Georgie was a member of Chatham P.H. Church where she attended as long as her health permitted. She was a faithful Christian who loved to read her Bible. Georgie was a hard worker who farmed for years with her late husband. She was a homemaker that loved gardening, canning and cooking for her family. She enjoyed working puzzles and was a very talented quilter which she loved and did for many.

Georgie is survived by two daughters, Margaret Moore and husband Billy, Lillian Osborne and husband Nelson, one son, Calvin Daniel and wife Mary; 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces & nephews who will forever cherish her memory.

The family would like to thank her devoted and dependable caregiver for 6 years, Deloris Stone with Caring Partners. Also a thank you to the nurses at Commonwealth Hospice.

A funeral service honoring Mrs. Moore will be held Thursday, March 19, 2026, 2:00 p.m. at Chatham Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Obdulio Berrios and Pastor Barbara Towler officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Burial Park.

The family will receive family and friends at her residence, 301 Climax Rd., Chatham, Virginia
