Gerolf Daniel Frye

Gerolf “Daniel” Frye, 78, of Botetourt County, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 31, 2025. He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Kidwell; and his brothers, Ronnie Frye and Marvin Frye.

Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Constance Frye; daughter, Candy Surratt (Ross); granddaughter, Lily Surratt; sister, Sandi McAllister (Mike); and close friend and nurse, Rikki McConnell.

Daniel served in the Frontline Infantry in the Vietnam War with the United States Army. He bravely received the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal; and the Good Conduct Medal.
