Gertrud Maria Fisher LaChey was born to Ernst Fisher and Kinigunde Eberth on July 17, 1936 in Germany. Maria passed away on April 7, 2025 in Danville, Virginia. She is survived by her sister, Anita Bray and her two sons, James R. LaChey and Bruce M. LaChey. She met her husband, James Michael LaChey, during the war and supported him throughout his military career. They enjoyed traveling and she played bridge. Maria worked at the Danville House.
A Graveside Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025 at 1:00pm at Highland Burial Park, Danville, VA.
