Gladys Trail

Gladys Georgiabelle Trail, 85, of Roanoke Va., wife of the late John William Trail, walked into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, July 3, 2023. She joined her loved ones in Heaven peacefully at home.

She was born on January 30, 1938, to the late Albert and Rebecca Loving. Others who preceded her in death were her sisters, Martha Bassett, Dorothy Puckett, Ruby Delp, and Mary Trail; brother, James Loving; great-grandson, Jason Rogers; and great-granddaughter, Savannah Burris.

Gladys is survived by her daughter, Brenda Lehrer (Donnie); sons, Daniel and William Trail; her nine grandchildren, Ronald Rogers (Debbie), Angela Williams (Mark), Tina Hight (Daryl), Georgianna Rogers, Mickey Rogers, Crystal Tran (Tim), Samantha Rogers, Adam Trail (Laura), and Jessica White (Tyler); 22 great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Delp; brother, Robert Loving; and lots of other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 7, 2023, in the abbey at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem, Va., with Pastor Andrew Draughn officiating. The visitation period will begin one hour prior to the service.
