Glenda Jean Inge
On October 16, 2025, in the early morning hours, just four days after her 57th birthday, Glenda Jean Inge gained her angel wings and declared victory over all pain and suffering on this earth.
Glenda was born on October 12, 1968, to the late Nathaniel and Mae Willie (Wilson) Inge. From the very beginning, Glenda was full of life—spicy, witty, and never afraid to speak her mind.
Glenda, a proud graduate of Tunstall High School’s Class of 1986, Glenda made her mark in everything she did. She first shared her creativity and style as a hairdresser, where clients didn’t just leave looking good—they left feeling good. Later, she continued her life of care and service as a phlebotomist at Sovah Medical Center, where her calm hand and lively spirit made her a favorite among patients and coworkers alike.
Glenda was also a proud entrepreneur and co-owner of Southern Soul Restaurant, a soul food restaurant in Danville, Virginia. Southern Soul was truly her pride and joy—a place where good food, laughter, and community came together.
Glenda's faith was strong and steady. She was baptized at New Design Baptist Church and was an active, devoted member of the Voices of Zion Choir, the Pastor’s Aide Committee, and many church events like Rainbow Teas. Whether singing, helping, or just making folks laugh in the fellowship hall, Glenda brought joy and energy wherever she went.
Glenda leaves to cherish her memory her loving sister, Gloria (Inge) Logan (William); her nephew, Byron Logan (Latoria); her niece, Sharron Logan (Brittney); her two great-nephews, Noah and Cameron Logan; her uncle James Wilson (Polly) aunt Monarie Wilson (Frank-deceased); along with Shante and Malik Thornton, and a host of cousins.
