Gloria Bray Davis

Gloria Bray Davis, 84, of Axton, VA passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Sovah Health of Martinsville and Henry County. She was born on January 12, 1941, in Henry County, VA to the late Ollie Pete Bray, Sr. and Flossie Wilson Bray. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Wood Davis, Sr.; son, Donnie Lee Davis; grandson, David Keatts; sisters, Elsie Manning, Ora Wilson and Bernice Hardy and her brothers, Calvin Bray, Winfred Bray, Webb Bray, Melvin Bray, and Larry Bray, Sr.

She was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church and had a deep love for her Iris and Daylilies. She worked for Henry County School System, Brown Products, and Mulberry Creek Nursing and Rehab Center. In addition to her work, she enjoyed spending time outdoors.

Surviving are her children, Carolyn Robertson (Eddie), Susan Franklin (Lester), Sandra Keatts and Buck Davis (Lesley); sister, Sallie Arden; brothers, Ollie Bray, Jr., and Joe Bray; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Norris Funeral Services Martinsville Chapel. A private service will be held at a later date.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Mulberry Creek Nursing and Rehab Center for the compassionate care they provided to Gloria.
