Gloria Hall Thompson

Gloria Hall Thompson, 87, entered into her heavenly home on October 31, 2022. She was born in Pittsylvania County on November 15, 1934, to the late Lena Turner Hall and the late Dabney Hall. She was preceded in death by her husband Garrie Burton Thompson, Jr.

Mrs. Thompson was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church and was employed at Pittsylvania County Schools as an Art Director prior to her retirement.

She is survived by her daughter; Marion Thompson Taylor of Atlantic Beach, NC, one son; Garrie Burton Thompson, III and his wife, Lore Hummel of Hendersonville, NC, and her sister; Judy Adkins of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Thompson was also predeceased by her daughter, Laura Thompson.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2022, 2:00 p.m. at Chatham Burial Park with Rev. Becky Crites officiating.
