Gloria Hawkins Weaver

Gloria Hawkins Weaver, 82, of Martinsville, Va passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024. She was born on April 18, 1941, in Sandy Ridge, NC to the late Virginia Wilson Hawkins and Erastus Beverly Hawkins.

Gloria attended Starling Avenue Baptist Church. She was a friend to everyone. She was a devoted mother and daughter to her parents. She had many friends that she traveled with, had a lot of fun times. She was a true Elvis fan and loved to dance so much that it was common to see her out dancing during the week. She worked locally at The Lester Group and after many years retired. Gloria had several animals that brought her years of happiness.

Surviving are her sons, Brian Weaver (Sandy) and Travis Weaver; grandchildren, Josh Byrd (Molli), and Daniel Greer; great-grandchildren, Jamison Greer, and Hattie Byrd. Also surviving are several aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Starling Avenue Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Angela Zimmerman officiating on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. Entombment will follow the service at Roselawn Abbey.
