Gloria Thompson Jennings

Gloria Jean Thompson Jennings, 84, wife of James “Jimmy” Jennings, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Mildred Brown Thompson. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Jennings and her in-laws, Mr. & Mrs. H.C. Spangler.

Gloria was a proud graduate of Jefferson High School, Class of 1958. She worked for Allstate Insurance for 38 years.

In addition to her husband, Jimmy, she will be missed and remembered by her children, Kimberlyn “Kim” Adams, Dea Adams, and David Jennings (Teresa); 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; a sister, Janet House (Steve); niece, Ashley House; special cousin, Teresa Lotts (Crim) and her best friend, Barbara Nichols and her sisters and brothers-in-law, Eleanor Brogan (Dan) and Mary Garrett (David); and granddog Kinsley.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the compassionate care Gloria received from the staff of Good Samaritan Hospice and Friendship Health and Rehab (North).

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at Sherwood Memorial Park with Pastor Rob Colwell officiating. The family will speak to guests following the service.
