Gordon Tallaksen

Gordon Tallaksen, 97, of Fincastle, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 4, 2026. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ardis Christine Tallaksen.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Shirley Joyce Damewood (David); brother, Roy Tallaksen (Betty); grandchildren, Kevin, Jenna, Stephen, and Lauren; many great grandchildren; and his loving sister, Thelma Everswick.
Gordon worked as a Mason/Builder in New Jersey. When he came to Virginia in 1989, he worked in the town of Fincastle until he was 88 years old.
The family will have a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 11:00am at Fincastle Baptist Church, 7330 Roanoke Road, Fincastle, VA 24090.
