Grace Wade Ernst

Grace Wade Ernst of Atlanta, GA, formerly of Salem, VA, passed away March 23, 2025. Grace was a graduate of Andrew Lewis High School, Cornett School of Business, and was proprietor with her husband of a dry cleaning business in the Atlanta area. She was a member of South Salem Christian Church, Salem; and Emory Hills United Methodist Church, Chamblee, GA.

She was preceded in death by her husband John H. (Jack) Ernst, Sr.; parents Ernest S, Sr. and Nina Wade; brother Ernest Jr.; and sisters Helen and Dorothy Wade. She is survived by her son John, Jr. (Cheryl); daughter Cynthia Phillips (Tom); grandchildren Madison Ernst Mantel (Justin); Amy Phillips; and Matthew Phillips; great grandson Hampton Mantel; sister Ruth Wade and extended family.

Grace will be privately buried with her husband, Jack in Church Hill Cemetery, Salem, Va.
