Grant Douglas Vass

Grant Douglas Vass, 84, of Roanoke, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2024. He was born February 11, 1940, in Carroll County, Virginia, to the late Lenvol L. Vass and Reta Vass.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Michi Matsui Vass; and sister, Flanora Vass Timlin.Grant proudly served in the United States Army during peace time and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed collecting guns and watching NASCAR. He was very athletic and enjoyed visiting the mountains and the beach.He is survived by his sister, Deanna Puckett (Glenn); and nieces and nephews, Chris Puckett (Melissa), Kim Shirely (Mike), Joseph Timlin (Diane), and Patricia Hankins (Jimmy).All services will be private.Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
