Gregory Thomas

Gregory Cardwell Thomas of Concord Va., slipped into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 5th, 2025 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was born September 2th, 1963 in Monroe Va. To the late Randolph Thomas Sr. and Marion Gentry Thomas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Ronald, Herbert, Winfred, and Stanley Thomas.

In his later years, Gregory realized he needed the Lord in his life and accepted Christ as his personal Savior and became a member of the Mt. Shiloh Baptist Church in Monroe Va.

Gregory was educated in the Amherst County Public School System. After school he worked as an automobile technician until he became ill. He loved Antique Cars and any car that left his yard had to be spotless.

Fond memories will be forever cherished, through the union of Gregory and Diann no biological children were born; however, he acquired three bonus children, two daughters Consuela (Jesse) Hall, Jacqueline (Lamont) Hancock and a son Calvin Lee Megginson Jr., seven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. His four brothers, Randolph Jr., David, Barry, and Stanley Thomas; four sisters, Loretta T Burford (Kerry), Janet T. Gaines (Charles), Darnetta Thomas, and Alesia T. Scruggs; one aunt, Lois Burford of Monroe, one uncle, Charles Gentry (Theresa) of Maryland, one sister-in-law, Sharon Thomas of Monroe; three devoted friends, Mike (dancing man) Tanner, and Preston, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A memorial service will be held with the information forthcoming.
