Haneefe Ali Assadullah, 66, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2024. He was born February 25, 1958, in Washington, D.C, to the late Charles Davis and Shirley Nichols Riley.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Shirley El Riley, and Brenda Grandson; brothers, Donald Jenkins, and Patrick Riley.Haneefe was Muslim and practiced the Islamic faith. He was a dedicated employee of the Metro Transit System in Washington for more than eighteen years. He was a huge fan of the Washington Commanders football team.He is survived by his wife, Karen Assadullah; daughter, Tiniki Wright; stepdaughter, Tonijah Wilson; god daughter, Mashawnda Olive; stepson, Jaleel Wilson; sisters, Patricia Jenkins, Wanda Jenkins, Lottie Riley, Loraine Grandson, and Mary Taylor; brother, William Riley; grandchildren, Imani Calhoun, Elijah Wright, Akhil Wright, and Isaiah Wright; great grandchildren, Zaheer Wiloughby, Cassan Davis, and Salayah Wright; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.All services will be private.Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
