Harold Lee Jennings

Harold Lee Jennings, 84, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2025. Harold was born in Pittsylvania County, VA on February 14, 1941 to the late Lena Strange Jennings and the late Willie Leonard Jennings. He was also predeceased by his loving wife of many years, Mrs. Brenda Mann Jennings.

He was a Supervisor for many years in the Textile Industry, working at Dan River Mills, previous to his retirement. Harold proudly served his country in the United States Navy.

Harold is survived by a son; Harold Lee Jennings II; a brother; Willie L. Jennings (Brenda); two sisters; Betty J. Downing and Carolyn J. Rumphrey (Arnold); numerous nieces and nephews; his adopted family; Chip, Kathy, and Bailey; his special friends and neighbors; Brandon, Maggie, and Connie; and his beloved dog; Baby

In addition to his parents and wife, Harold was predeceased by two sisters; Peggy J. Calloway (Dutch) and Patsy Dean J. Archer (Jerry); a brother; James Jennings (Jean); and a brother in law; Robert Downing.

The Family request that in lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations be made to SPCA of Pittsylvania County, VA, at P.O. Box 936, Chatham, VA 24531.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at 2:30pm at Highland Burial Park, Danville, VA with Pastor Donnie Durham officiating. A visitation will be held on the same day, previous to the service from 1-2:00pm at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, Danville, VA.
