Harold Lee Sparks

Harold Lee Sparks, 83, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Harold was born in Rupert, WV on February 17, 1942 to the late Daisy Azel Crum Sparks and the late Hazel Willes Sparks. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Mrs. Charlotte Gourley Sparks.

Harold was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. He worked for many years as a delivery truck driver for Mid Atlantic Printing, previous to his retirement. He also proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines.

In addition to his wife, Harold is survived by two sons; James Scott Sparks of Raleigh, NC and Todd Lee Sparks and wife Anne Moore Sparks of Danville, VA; a daughter; Robin Louise Sparks of Tampa, FL; a step-son; Robert Alan Dunn; step-daughter; Kimberly Ann Patterson; two brothers; James Sparks of Oklahoma and William Sparks of Minnesota; three grandchildren; Abby, Cam, and Megan; one great granddaughter; Leila; and special friend; Wayne Hines of Gretna, VA.

In addition to his parents, Harold was predeceased by two sisters; Helen M. Bowman and Glenna M. Zoerink; and a step-son; Mark Stephen Dunn.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
