Harry Alex Scott

Harry Alex Scott, age 77, of McCoy, died Saturday February 28, 2026, at Lewis Gale Hospital- Montgomery. He was born in Christiansburg, VA. on April 16, 1948, to the late Harry Dudley and Faye Mullins Scott. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Donna Merrix Scott. He is survived by his son, David Scott (Dawn Brown); granddaughter, Morgan Scott; sisters, Sherry Warren (Bill), Susan Hogan (Tim), and Ellen Cumby (Guy); brother, Tim Scott (Ellen); brother-in-law, David Merrix; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Linda and Leroy Smith; special nephew, Michael Merrix (Missy) and their children Hunter, Gracie, and Hallie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; special friend, Norman Elliott. Graveside service will be conducted Wednesday March 4, 2026, at 1:00 pm in the McCoy Family Cemetery with Chris Brandow and Chris Keene officiating.
