Harry Arnold Dillman

HARRY ARNOLD DILLMAN, born March 2, 1937 in Ceres, VA, passed away Friday, November 29, 2025 at Dogwood Assisted Living, in Tazewell, VA.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Paul and Daisy Hayton Dillman, his daughter, Diana Dee Dillman, his step-daughter-in-law, Tamela Strock Stuart and step-granddaughter, Sarah Wellford.

Harry graduated from Ceres High School class of 1954. In the 60’s, he joined the United States Air Force, retiring as a Sargeant E 8 in communications, serving twenty plus years of service to his country, After retiring from the service,  he lived and worked for MCI in Gilmer, TX for a number of years.

In Harry’ s youth, he loved to roam Walkers Mountain, hunting with his boyhood friends.

Harry is survived by his loving wife, Dare Neel Dillman, four step-children, Russell & Sherri Gray, Hot Springs Village, AR, Randy & Sharri Gray, Sulphur Springs, TX, Robert Stuart, Mechanicsburg, VA and Judi & Stan Wellford, Mechanicsville, VA; and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at the Southwest Virginia Veteran's Cemetery, Dublin, with Pastor Ira Buchanan officiating. Military rites will be provided by the Dublin VFW and American Legion Posts and Seymour Johnson Air Force Honor Guards.
