Harry Donald Foley

Harry Donald Foley, 82, of Ferrum, Virginia, passed away Monday, January 1, 2024, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born November 2, 1941, in Henry County, Virginia, to the late William Arthur Foley and Clara Elizabeth LaPrad Foley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Vera Foley Young, and Nancy Foley Bousman; and brothers, Lloyd W. Foley, Fred Foley, Robert Chester Foley, Arthur Bryant Foley, Archie Thompson Foley, Earl Lee Foley, and Kermit Ross Foley.

He was a truck driver for over fifty years, loved to work on antique cars, enjoyed hunting rabbits and birds. He had a big personality, raced cars, and enjoyed joking.

Harry is survived by his wife, Rita Carroll Foley; daughters, Melissa Y. “Lisa” Foley, Sheri Lynn Foley-Gliniecki and husband Timmy and Jessica Pagans; son, Porter Pagans (Ashley); sister, Eva Dale Foley Scearce; brother, Jimmy Foley (Shelbie); and grandchildren, Oliver, Austin, Summer, Chelsea, Nevaeh, Kady, Calvin, and Paxton; great grandchildren, Aubery, Audrey, Oaklynn, Kamben, and Braxtyn; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be Monday, January 8, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel, 1425 Greensboro Road, Martinsville, with Pastor Eugene Robertson officiating. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service. The burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery.
