Harry E. Bunn

Harry Edward Bunn, born February 25, 1944, in Fancy Gap, Virginia, passed away on November 23, 2025, in the arms of the love of his life. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Harry lived a life grounded in faith, hard work, and unwavering love for his family.

Harry is survived by his wife, Patricia, their children, Shane and Amanda, son-in-law, Thaddeus VanDyne, and his sister, Mary Banks. Harry was affectionately known as “Papa” to four grandchildren, Cole Bunn, Connor Bunn, Everly VanDyne, and Asher VanDyne, whose presence brought boundless joy to his life.

He is preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Kristi Bunn, whom he carried in his heart every day, his parents, Garland and Minnie Bunn, sisters Anna Lee Leonard, Esta Fae Bowman, Dora Davis, and his brothers Ray, Carol, Otis, and Elwood Bunn.

Throughout his life, Harry worked hard at everything he touched. His hands bore the marks of years of dedication, and his accomplishments stood as quiet testaments to his character. But above all, his faith grounded him. He lived each day with gratitude, humility, and trust in God—values he passed along to everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Harry’s legacy lives on in his family, in the lessons he taught, and in the love he gave freely. He will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever honored.

Funeral Services will be held at Lamplight Baptist Church, Saturday 12/6 at 1:00pm.
