Harry Fleisher Collins

Harry Fleisher Collins JR of Christiansburg, Virginia, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend who touched countless lives with his strength, generosity, and unwavering dedication to others. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Collins Sr and his mother, Dorothy Mae Collins. He is survived by his loving wife, Sherri; his sister, Valerie Myers and her husband Steve Myers; his daughter, Kristin Sells and her husband Aaron Sells; his sons, Zach Collins and wife Miranda Collins, Brock Collins and wife Becky Collins, and Ryan Collins and wife Brittney Cockram; his stepsons, Austin Huff and wife Sydney Huff, and Colin Huff. He was a proud grandfather to 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, all of whom were the light of his life. He dedicated much of his life to service and leadership. He served as a postmaster with the United States Postal Service, later worked as a facility manager at JDSU and Shaw Development, and gave back to his community as a town council member in Christiansburg, Virginia. Following his own health journey, he became President of the Lung Transplant Foundation, where he advocated tirelessly for others and offered hope to families walking similar paths. He will be remembered for his resilience, his commitment to his community, and the deep love he had for his family. He was loved by so many and leaves behind a legacy of strength, service, and compassion that will live on in all who knew him. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 11:00 am in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Neal Turner officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 - 6 pm on Friday, March 6, 2026, at McCoy Funeral Home.
