Harvey Harding Feazell
Harvey Harding Feazell, Jr., age 76, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 6, 2024, surrounded by his family and friends.
Harvey was a proud graduate of William Fleming High School and a United States Navy Veteran. He worked on number 8, in number 1 lab, and Central Stores at Westvaco for 38 reliable years before retiring in 2013. He was a member of Lone Star Advent Christian Church. He enjoyed spending time and talking with his family and many friends, being a member of the local bowling leagues at Mallow Lanes, and playing softball in various leagues and tournaments. Harvey was a Hokie and an avid and realistic fan who enjoyed watching sports at every level. He loved the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers and Duke (basketball) unless they were playing his Hokies. Harvey set an example of sportsmanship to many young athletes as a long time Little League manager. He was also the best kiddie pool lifeguard to ever wear a whistle. Harvey leaves behind many people who will take his outlook on life and share it with others that they meet along their path.
He was preceded in death his parents, Harvey, Sr and Dorothy (Dot), his brothers, Randall (Randy), Barry (Lynn), and Richard and his sister, Norma Arthur.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Donna Madison Feazell, his daughter, Velvet F. Peters, his son, Kurt (Samantha) Feazell, and most special granddaughters, Charley and Harper, as well as many special nieces, nephews, their children, and countless friends. The family would like to recognize special caregivers and friends, Francelia Cox and April Boguess, along with sister (in-law) Donna Madison Nicely.
Visitation will be on Thursday, October 10th from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge. The funeral service will be held in their chapel on Friday, October 11, 2024 at 11:00 am. Herf will be laid to rest in Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge following the service.
