Hattie Mullins Spencer

Hattie Mullins Spencer, age 96 of Bassett, VA passed away on January 9, 2025.

Hattie was born on March 19, 1928 in Franklin County, VA to the late George Mullins and the late Mattie Lee Brown Mullins. She retired from J.D. Bassett Furniture after many years. She was of the Primitive Baptist Faith.

Mrs. Spencer is survived by a great granddaughter, Ashley Franklin (Dwayne) of the residence, two daughters; Wyleen Russell and Shirley Underwood Price (Kenny), two step daughters; Yvonne Lynch and Lisa Flora (Jeff), three grandchildren; Tabatha Mills (Donnie), Kelly Colley (Ned) and Christie Murchison (Jay), two step grandchildren; Adam Turner (Tara) and Aaron Turner (Meghan), 14 great grandchildren and 3 great- great grandchildren.

The family has a special thank you to the Staff of Commonwealth Hospice and to Mallory and Porsha for their caring and support.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 15, 2025 in Henry Memorial Park with Pastor Barry Webster officiating.
