Hazel Estelle Eanes Hodges, age 91 of Rocky Mount died Monday, April 21, 2025. She was born March 18, 1934 and was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Reggie Hodges; father and mother, Tom and Eva Eanes; daughters, Robbie Motley and Ann Britton Hodges Causa; son, Andrew Clifton Hodges; brothers, Jimmy Eanes, Mike Eanes, H.L. Eanes and David (Buster) Cook; sister, Ruby Eanes Beasley; granddaughter, Lisa Hunt; great-granddaughter, Crystal Hunt; infant great-great-granddaughter; nephew, Timmy Adkins; sons-in-law, Jack Causa and Gerald Motley; daughter-in-law, Shirley Hodges. Surviving are her two sons, Gerald Hodges (Gina) and Floyd Hodges (Rita); daughters, Doris Ellis (Glenn), Connie Hodges and Melinda Hodges; special grandson, Randy Lynn; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Louella Chitwood and Doris Thacker; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at Flora Funeral Chapel with Pastor Randy Sawyers officiating. Her family will receive friends beginning at 5 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will take place 2 p.m. Thursday at the Eanes Family Cemetery in Callands, VA. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
