Hazel Rebecca Kinsey Harrison, 95, of Martinsville, Virginia, transitioned to her heavenly home Monday, April 28, 2025. She was born May 14, 1929, in Rocky Mount, Virginia, to the late John Kinsey and Olivia Overfelt Kinsey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Harrison; son, Kenneth Allen Harrison; sisters, Ruby Wray, Beth Fisher, and Ann Scarbrough; brothers, Paul Kinsey, Wallace Kinsey, Bill Kinsey, George Kinsey, Charles Kinsey, and J.T. Hazel was a devoted member of Freedom Baptist Church, where her dedication to the lord was evident in every aspect of her life. She was equally devoted to her family, always showing them unconditional love and support. Hazel worked for twenty-three years as a dispatch technician for Centel, where she was known for her strong work ethic and dependable spirit. Growing up on a farm in the country fostered her deep love for nature, animals, and the simple joys of life. She found great happiness in watching things grow, and working in her garden was one of her favorite pastimes. She was blessed with a sweet, kind, and loving spirit that touched the hearts of everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her son; David Lee Harrison and spouse Wendy; grandchildren, Heather Robertson and Hilary Wilson; and great-grandchildren, Rand Wyatt, Kendal Wilson, and Cooper Wilson.
