Helen Winford Berger, 75, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2024. She was born January 13, 1949, in Cascade, Virginia to the late Jesse Thomas Williams and Virgie Adams Williams.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband William Berger; brothers, Elmer Hairston, Joe Willie Hairston, Thomas Williams.Helen attended Shiloh Baptist Church, Fieldale, Virginia. She loved clothes and fashion. Helen loved going to church and loved her family dearly.She is survived by her daughters, Glenda Berger and Lynn Patterson; son, William Wayne Berger, Kevin Williams; sisters, Mazie Murphy, Bernice Motley, Jessie Mae Wooding, and Gladys Clark; brother, Jimmy Williams (Mironda); a host of nieces and nephews; ten grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.The funeral service will be held Monday, November 4, 2024, at 12:30 PM at Wright Funeral Service. A visitation will be held 30 minutes prior to the service. A floating visitation will be Sunday, November 3, 2024, from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service.The family is receiving friends and extended family at 914 Independence Drive, Martinsville, Virginia 24112.Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
